SpyBasket and SpySnare

Boston Scientific Corporation

I was part of a cross-functional team that developed and launched two medical devices designed for use in Boston Scientific’s cholangioscope, SpyGlass DS. Called SpyGlass Retrieval Basket and SpyGlass Retrieval Snare, they were designed to remove stones and other foreign bodies from pancreobilliary anatomy. These two devices were co-developed as they share a common drive system and handle.

I was deeply involved in the full spectrum of the product life cycle, from design, prototyping and development of the end effectors, drive system and handle to specification development, validation, and regulatory submission.
