Digital Lumens

Rugged Light Engine “RLE” is a 65k lumen super high bay LED lighting solution. Designed for harsh environments, RLE is IP66 rated but can withstand a full pressure washer spray down. It is UL listed and CE certified.

I took responsibility for the RLE program at Digital Lumens soon after the first prototype samples arrived from our contract manufacturer.

After finalizing design and prototyping, I worked closely with the contract manufacturer on process development, including multiple factory visits.

In parallel, I developed and performed tests to validate the product specifications, then oversaw third party IP testing. I also ensured it was compliant with relevant UL and CE standards.

Additionally, I designed and validated an alternate glass lens version for extremely harsh chemical environments. I also designed a rigid mount bracket.
