Modern aquaculture relies on a symbiotic system in which vegetables are grown in a medium fertilized with nutrients from fish waste. I am in the process of designing this all-in-one system to grow gem lettuce using waste from a single Betta fish. Next steps for this project include sourcing components and deciding which varietals of lettuce to grow.
